The ASEAN Women of Tomorrow Conference is an interactive 2-Day event, specifically designed for corporate women and entrepreneurs who want to be successful and impactful in driving a sustainable future and fostering purpose-driven leadership.

This visionary conference will explore and discuss:

ANNE ABRAHAM

Anne is the CEO of LeadWomen, a leadership development and consulting company, focused on developing and advancing women leaders in Asia.

With over 25 years of corporate experience in leadership positions across multi-functional units, she started as a technical trainer, and over the years has trained and coached her management & leadership teams. She has mentored many executives in the course of her career and continues this in her current capacity.

She is currently the lead facilitator for the softskills modules that are delivered on the Malaysian Women Directors Programme, a government initiative to increase women representation on boards of Malaysian PLCs. Anne has facilitated more than 200 workshops and trained over 700 senior women leaders for the past 2.5 years.

Prior to LeadWomen, she was the CEO of SAP and Cisco Malaysia. She was successful at building high-performance executive teams and leading technology and service organizations with P&L responsibility of US$100+ million.

A strong advocate and supporter for women leadership development, she is a frequent guest speaker and moderator in Women conferences and summits.

Anne serves on the Boards of Media Prima Berhad and Metrod as an Independent Non-Executive Director.  She is also a member of Small Medium Enterprise (SME) Women Entrepreneurs Panel and co-founder of the Malaysian Chapter of the 30% Club.

May Lee is a Senior Executive Director in the Restructuring practice within EY’s Transaction Advisory Services team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  With 26 years of experience with Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen both in Malaysia and Australia, she specialises in distressed corporate advisory, creditor advisory, working capital management and formal corporate insolvency.

She has worked with a wide range of clients including private corporates, public listed companies, multinational companies, local and foreign investment and commercial banks, sovereign wealth funds and government agencies.

May Lee is also a co-Chair and Board Member of the Malaysia Network of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC).  The IWIRC Malaysia - a part of the New York-based IWIRC - is a platform to promote women in insolvency and corporate restructuring-related professions and businesses.

A fellow of CPA Australia and member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Malaysia, May Lee  holds a Bachelor of Economics with Honours in Accounting from La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia.

Pauline Ho is an Assurance Partner in PwC Malaysia and has over 20 years of experience handling audit and audit related assignments in Malaysia and United Kingdom. She joined PwC Malaysia in 1993 and after a two-year secondment with the London office of PwC UK, returned to the Malaysian firm in 2000.

Her portfolio of clients include a wide range of Malaysian and multinational companies in various industries including telecommunications and oil and gas. Besides her audit portfolio, she has managed projects involving corporate exercises such as public floatation, equity issues, cross border offerings, due diligence reviews for proposed acquisitions, reviews of profit and cash flow forecasts and projections in relation to equity issues and operational reviews of business processes.

She is the People Partner for PwC Malaysia, responsible for all Human Capital matters, a role which is part of the firm’s Country Management Team and Executive Board.  Also, Pauline was the Assurance Leader from July 2012 until June 2016.

She is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) as well as a Fellow of CPA Australia.

ANGELINA KWAN 
Head of Regulatory Compliance, Listing and Regulatory Affairs Division, HK Exchanges & Clearing Ltd.

Prior to her present role, Angelina was Head of Equities at CLSA. Previously she was the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Stratford Finance Limited, a Compliance and Corporate Governance Consulting Firm.

She has over 27 years of experience in Asia and the United States in business development, restructuring, regulatory/compliance, as well as investor and stakeholder relations.

She is currently an Independent Non-executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Aviva Life Insurance Hong Kong, a Hong Kong Government appointed member of the Women’s Commission and the Financial Reporting Council Process Review Panel, a Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Securities Industry Development Corporation of Malaysia, the Vice-Chairman and Director of The Women’s Foundation, an Honorary Adjunct Professor of Finance for the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and serves on a number of other Boards and committees.

Dr. Nikolai Dobberstein
Partner, AT Kearney

Nikolai Dobberstein is the Head of A.T. Kearney’s Communications, Media & Technology Practice in Asia Pacific and the Managing Partner of the Malaysian Practice. He has been involved in multiple business and digital transformation programs of technology companies and telecom operators in Southeast Asia, India, the Middle East and Africa.

Before joining A.T. Kearney in India in 2011, Nikolai was the Exco member for New Businesses at Maxis, Malaysia. Nikolai had P&L responsibility for all data and digital businesses and helped propel Maxis into one of the global top 10 data operators. Before Maxis, Nikolai was 12 years with McKinsey & Company.

Nikolai has spent the last 24 years working in Asia, mostly in Malaysia and India. He just moved back to Malaysia.

Nikolai is German and has a PhD in Technology & Innovation Management from the University of Kiel, Germany. He is married to an Indian and has two boys (18 & 15).

Suchita Prasad is a leader of McKinsey Academy, McKinsey’s Centre of Excellence for Leadership Development in Southeast Asia. Before moving to Singapore, Suchita was a consultant in McKinsey’s New Jersey Office, focusing on organization transformations and operations excellence. She has worked with Asian and global multinational companies on design and delivery of leadership and capability building forums, building Corporate Academies, enabling HR talent systems including performance transformations and helping companies embrace change.

 

Suchita has over 10 years’ experience, and works at the intersection of business, human capital and technology. Prior to joining the firm, Suchita was part of the initial founding team of an online education start-up, the “Fullbridge Program”. As VP Assessments and Learning, she built the program architecture, created the assessment structure and worked on client delivery. She has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a BE in Electronics and Telecommunication from Mumbai University, India. She lives with her two daughters and husband in Singapore.

To understand what it means to live and lead with purpose and balance, A-Young set out on a journey of inner awareness and wellbeing, and pursued over 1200 hours of training in yoga, meditation and classical Asian philosophies. She is currently working with LeadWomen to apply and share the art of wellbeing to leadership theories. By integrating her experience in leadership development, strategy consulting, behavioral research, yoga therapy and mindfulness, she works with leaders to connect with purpose and progress through everyday embodiment practices.

Todate, A-Young has coached and developed more than 1,000 leaders and entrepreneurs in over 30 organizations across 15 countries and facilitated over 50 workshops and leadership development programs, tailored to help organizations pursue growth opportunities in people, products and business

She has worked with leaders from diverse organizations such as Bank of America, GSK, Coca Cola, PayPal, MediaCorp, and the Malaysian government.

Her work on developing young leaders was featured on television in Singapore and her consulting work has been covered in national news in Malaysia.

A-Young has a B.Sci and an MBA from Brigham Young University, USA and has completed her advanced studies & research in organizational behaviour at INSEAD, France.  Originally from South Korea, A-Young spent several years in Malaysia prior to moving to Singapore where she currently resides.

DR MARCELLA LUCAS 
Strategy Consultant and Facilitator

Dr. Marcella Lucas is a strategy consultant who brings a global perspective to solving problems through innovative methods and solutions. Trained and certified as a Blue Ocean Strategy practioner, Marcella was recruited to deliver on strategic initiatives to support the National Transformation efforts of the Malaysian government. Her work involved designing and facilitating Blue Ocean Strategies for the various divisions of the Malaysian Government, namely the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Finance and National Strategy Unit for 11th Malaysia Plan. Additionally she was involved in the conceptualisation, implementation and refining of more than 70 National Blue Ocean Strategy initiatives.

Prior to moving to Malaysia, Marcella worked with Trinity Partners, a boutique pharmaceutical and medical devices consultancy in Boston, USA, from which she gained exposure into project management, commercial assessments, competitive intelligence, financial forecasting and modelling, life cycle management, primary market research, big data analysis and composed peer-reviewed manuscripts.

Her current role with LeadWomen as Business Development Director for International Ventures has seen her engage on expanding into the African markets to drive the gender diversity and innovation agenda. She completely aligns with the mission of increasing women representation in leadership and board positions across the corporate sectors and finds purpose and balance in this work. Marcella is a highly driven individual, easily adaptable to change and a forward thinker. Her passion is creating new innovative business models and opportunities to support organisations to achieve their objectives, embracing state of the art technologies and design thinking.

Marcella is from the Netherlands, has lived and worked in 9 countries across Europe, North America, Middle East, Africa and Asia, and holds a PhD in Neuroscience from Dartmouth College, USA.

Q1 What is the cost to attend the Asean Women of Tomorrow Conference?

Q2 What is included in my registration fee?

Registration includes conference materials, as well as admission into all keynote, panel discussions and group workshops. It also includes all conference meals for those attending the 1-day event.

For those joining the 2nd day Banjaran, it includes bus transportation from hotel to Banjaran and return, plus meals, and Resort facilities

Q3 Does the fee include air transportation & hotel accommodations?

All air transportation and hotel accommodations are the responsibility of the attendee.

Q7 Is my reservation transferable?

Yes.  If you register and pay but are unable to attend, you can transfer your registration to a colleague from your company.  Please submit all transfer requests to jessie@lead-women.com

The following cancellation dates and fees apply:

If you cancel before 23 October,  you must pay a $250 cancellation fee.

There will be no refund if you cancel after 23 October, 2017
